Doctoral Degree Requirements
Students must complete the minimum number of courses indicated in each category. Each Doctoral degree program requires twelve courses (36 credits), plus a Dissertation (9 credits) for a total of 45 credits.

Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Studies

Who is our Biblical Studies major designed for?

  • Anyone desiring to increase their knowledge of the Bible,
  • Anyone desiring to grow closer to the Lord,
  • Anyone desiring to teach the Bible or lead a Bible Study group,
  • Anyone desiring to communicate the Bible through written word, multimedia presentations, or online.

What Will A Biblical Studies Graduate Be Equipped To Do?

  • Will know how to prepare and teach a Bible lesson,
  • Will have a greater knowledge of the Bible, Christian theology and principles,
  • Will be well versed in essential truths of Christianity,
  • Will know the attributes, attitudes, and actions of a maturing Christian.
  • Pre-requisite: Master Degree

Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Studies

Who is our Pastoral Studies major designed for?

  • Anyone with a shepherd’s heart desiring to serve a church, ministry, or small group,
  • Anyone desiring to serve the church as an elder or deacon.

What Will A Pastoral Studies Graduate Be Equipped To Do?

    • Will know how to prepare and preach a sermon,
    • Will know how to teach the Bible,
    • Will have basic skills in pastoral and church administration,
    • Will know basic Biblical counseling,
    • Will know the attributes, attitudes, and actions of a maturing Christian,
    • Will know how to marry, bury, and baptize.

Who is our Evangelism & Missions major designed for?

  • The person with a burden to reach others with the message of the Gospel,
  • Anyone desiring to increase their knowledge of the Bible,
  • Anyone desiring to communicate the Bible through written word, multimedia presentations, spoken word, person to person, or online,
  • Christian school teachers and administrators.

What Will A Evangelism & Missions Graduate Be Equipped To Do?

    • Will know basic concepts, methods and the message of personal soul winning of adults and children,
    • Will know effective disciplemaking techniques,
    • Will know the Biblical basis of missions, and specific methodology of the church to aid missionaries and to advance the cause of Christ around the globe,
    • Practical guidelines for missionaries and mission organizations in raising necessary support to fulfill their calling,

  • Pastors, ministers, parents and anyone interested in Christian counseling ministry.

This major equips the student to counsel from a Biblical worldview.
What Will A Christian Counseling Graduate Be Equipped To Do?

  • Will know Biblical principles which lead to strong and successful
    homes, including the proper role of husband, wife, and children.
  • Will know the proactive steps of relational parenting.
  • Will know Biblical principles to the wise use of money.
  • Will know the Biblical truths for achieving true contentment and purpose in life.
  • Will know the Biblical approach in dealing with the emotional problems that trouble Christians today.
  • Will be equipped to help others deal with unforgiveness and
    bitterness. This is one of the most important tasks Christian counselors
    face today.
